Andrean advanced closer to another state finals appearance with a 35-14 playoff victory over Rensselaer Central on Friday night. The Fighting 59ers improved their record to 10-1 overall with the win, continuing their strong postseason form.
The regional matchup occurred on November 7, 2025, at Rensselaer Central High School. Andrean dominated the opening half, building a commanding 35-0 lead by halftime through a balanced offensive attack and robust defensive effort. The team scored 21 points in the first quarter and added 14 more before the break, maintaining control throughout the game. Rensselaer Central responded with two second-half touchdowns but was unable to overcome the early deficit.
According to reports, Andrean’s defense held firm during key drives and forced multiple stops to limit the Bombers’ momentum. The victory marked another complete performance in all three phases for the 59ers, who have demonstrated consistency throughout the postseason.
Andrean is set to face Southmont (11-1) in the Class 2A semistate round on Friday, November 14, at 7 p.m. in Crawfordsville.
