Andrean High School defeated Wheeler High School 28–6 in a playoff matchup on Friday night, advancing to the next round of postseason play.
The game was held on October 31 at Wheeler High School in Valparaiso, Indiana. Andrean took command early, scoring 14 points in the first quarter and extending its lead through the second and third quarters. According to reports, Wheeler’s only touchdown came in the second quarter, but the Bearcats were unable to score again as Andrean’s defense controlled the tempo. Wheeler finished with 85 total tackles, seven tackles for loss, and a pair of forced and recovered fumbles.
Looking ahead, Andrean will face Rensselaer on November 7 in the next round of the playoffs. In their previous meeting before this playoff matchup, Andrean also secured a victory over Wheeler.
