As the 2025 season approaches, the Andrean High School archery team is drawing its bows in preparation for another strong showing. Though not an IHSAA-sanctioned sport, the club consistently emphasizes precision, focus and character—values deeply aligned with the school’s athletic mission.
The team, competing in regional and state tournaments under scholastic archery circuits, looks to build on momentum from previous years, drawing returners eager to polish form and newcomers ready to hit their stride. Rigorous practice sessions are already underway, with coaches guiding athletes through sight alignment, footing, and mental discipline. These drills are essential for success as competitors aim to navigate the pressure of tournament conditions and distance variations.
Andrean’s archers will travel to several local matches, where consistency across rounds will be key to advancing to higher-level invitational meets. While the schedule has yet to be finalized, the squad expects to face familiar opponents, ensuring fierce, respectful competition—all while representing the Fighting 59ers with poise.
With faith, leadership and sportsmanship as their guiding principles, the Andrean archery team aims not just for high scores, but also for the personal growth and camaraderie that come from aiming true together.
