Andrean High School will travel to Wheeler High School on Friday night for a sectional semifinal in the Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) Class 2A State Tournament. Both teams, Andrean and Wheeler, hold an 8-1 record and are competing to advance further in the tournament.
The game is scheduled for October 31 at Wheeler High School in Valparaiso, Indiana, with kickoff set for 7 p.m.
Andrean enters the match with significant momentum following a dominant regular season that included a perfect conference record. The team has shown consistent performance on both offense and defense, allowing fewer than 10 points per game while averaging nearly 30. The Fighting 59ers aim to maintain their success at the line of scrimmage, restrict big plays from Wheeler’s high-scoring offense, and seize scoring opportunities in this crucial matchup.
The winner of this game will progress to the Class 2A sectional championship round next week. The opponent and location for the next match will be determined by tournament placement.
This encounter marks the first meeting between Andrean and Wheeler this season.
