The Andrean Fighting 59ers girls’ soccer team concluded its season on Saturday night with a determined performance in the sectional round, falling 2–0 to Boone Grove.
According to reports, the match took place on Saturday, October 11, at Boone Grove High School as part of the Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) Class 1A Sectional 33 Tournament. Facing a disciplined Wolves team, Andrean showed grit and defensive resolve throughout the contest, keeping the match tight deep into the second half.
Despite the loss, Andrean played with intensity and unity, displaying growth that has defined their season. Senior leadership helped anchor the lineup while younger players gained valuable postseason experience that will benefit the program moving forward.
Andrean finished the season at 2–16 overall. However, this record tells only part of the story—the team continued to improve with each match, developing a stronger sense of chemistry and resilience.
As the program looks ahead, lessons from this year’s challenges will serve as the foundation for the next chapter of Andrean soccer.
