Andrean High School improved its record to 4-1 with a 17-7 victory over Hobart High School on Friday night. The matchup was characterized by the resilience and toughness of both teams.

The Brickies, who also hold a 4-1 record, maintained a competitive stance throughout the game, keeping the score close until the final quarter. Andrean’s running back Ethan Reyna scored an early touchdown in the first quarter, followed by kicker Jax Alvarez adding an extra point and later a 23-yard field goal, giving Andrean a 10-0 lead at halftime.

Hobart responded with determination after the break, managing to reach the end zone and narrow the gap to 10-7. Their physical play on both offense and defense kept them within striking distance as they delivered key stops against Andrean.

In the fourth quarter, Andrean’s defense intensified its efforts to thwart Hobart’s attempts at a comeback. Alvarez secured the win with another field goal, bringing the final score to 17-7. Reyna led Andrean’s ground attack while Hobart demonstrated a balanced approach throughout the game.
