Andrean secured a narrow victory over Hobart in a competitive Northwest Crossroads Conference volleyball match, concluding with a 3-2 win.
The game took place on Thursday, September 25th, at Hobart High School. Andrean started the match strong, winning the first two sets with scores of 25-17 and 25-21. Hobart responded by avoiding elimination with a third set win of 25-21 and extended the match by taking the fourth set 27-25. This comeback led to a decisive fifth set where Andrean’s Fighting 59ers regained their momentum and clinched the victory with a score of 15-5.
Andrean’s offensive efforts were spearheaded by freshman Aleece Ehler, who achieved 15 kills and maintained a .400 hitting percentage. Sophomore Miah Galambos contributed significantly with 16 kills on a .300 mark. Senior Dani Poskin played a crucial role in defense, achieving a match-high of 33 digs. Meanwhile, Hobart demonstrated strong net play and resilience that kept spectators engaged throughout the evening.
Both teams exhibited effort and composure in this contest, which underscored the competitive balance within the conference.
