Andrean’s girls basketball season came to a close with a 61-32 loss to Bremen in postseason play.
The game was played Feb. 14 at a neutral site as the Fighting 59ers faced Bremen in tournament action. Bremen built control early and maintained separation throughout the contest, finishing 22-of-47 from the field and converting consistently inside.
Andrean struggled offensively, shooting 8-of-44 overall and 5-of-23 from three-point range. Delaney Myers led the 59ers with seven points and six rebounds. Charlee Murray added seven points and three rebounds, while Ashlyn Hite contributed six points. Lailoni Staten pulled down a team-high seven rebounds and added two points. The 59ers totaled 23 rebounds but were limited by 22 turnovers against Bremen’s defensive pressure, which created additional scoring opportunities.
Andrean continued to compete defensively and worked to generate second-chance opportunities, but Bremen’s efficiency and ball movement proved difficult to overcome as the game progressed.
The roster featured Myers, Murray, Hite, Staten, Mikayla Hadt, Mia Krueger, Ellie Benjamin, Sommer Branigin and Addison Osika, with several underclassmen gaining valuable postseason experience.
Saturday’s result marked the final game of the 2025-26 season for Andrean as the 59ers conclude their year in tournament competition.
