The Andrean Fighting 59ers secured a narrow 73–71 victory over Bowman Academy in a non-conference basketball game, successfully fending off a late challenge to start their season with a win at home.

The game was held on December 6 at Andrean High School. This match marked the first home contest of the season for the 59ers, who now hold a record of 1–0, while Bowman Academy remains winless at 0–5. Andrean’s offense managed to find its rhythm, accumulating 73 points against a Bowman team that had been averaging just under 49 points per game before this matchup.
