Andrean High School from Merrillville, Indiana, emerged victorious over Morgan Township of Valparaiso, Indiana, with a 1-0 win in a neutral-site playoff match.
The game was held on October 7, 2025, at Wheeler High School in Valparaiso.
Andrean scored the only goal in the first half and maintained a strong defensive performance throughout the game to secure their victory. The Fighting 59ers improved their season record to 8-8-1. Their success was attributed to standout performances by forward Gabe Williams and goalkeeper Ryder Marsh, who achieved his fifth shutout of the season. Andrean concluded the year with 37 total goals and 25 assists, averaging 2.29 goals per match while maintaining a goals-against average of 1.14.
Morgan Township ended its season with a record of 9-7-1 after a competitive campaign. The team’s offensive efforts were led by Nicholas Jaranowski with 13 goals and Maddox Cuson with 23 assists. Despite creating several strong scoring opportunities late in the game and outshooting Andrean in the second half, Morgan Township was unable to equalize.
Andrean will advance in the Class 1A State Tournament and is set to face Boone Grove in the sectional semifinal on Thursday, October 9, 2025.
