Lighthouse College Prep Academy defeated Andrean 57-36 in an IHSAA Class 2A sectional matchup.
The game took place March 3 at Boone Grove High School in Valparaiso, Indiana, as part of the 2025-26 IHSAA Class 2A Boys Basketball State Tournament.
Lighthouse College Prep Academy controlled much of the game and created separation on the scoreboard as the contest progressed. Andrean battled to stay within reach early but was unable to generate enough offensive momentum as the Lions gradually built a lead and maintained control throughout the postseason matchup.
Andrean’s lineup throughout the season featured contributions from sophomore Cole Gilvydis, senior Gregory Taylor, junior Bryan Reynolds, junior Aidan Gnatt, freshman Nicholas Taylor, junior Sam Gibson, senior Tiaan Coetzee and sophomore Michael Mikuly. The group competed throughout the sectional contest as the Fighting 59ers worked to slow the pace and create scoring opportunities against the Lions’ defense.
Despite the effort, Lighthouse College Prep Academy maintained its advantage and secured the victory to advance in the Sectional 33 bracket.
The loss brought Andrean’s season to a close in the Class 2A sectional tournament after the Fighting 59ers battled through their Northwest Indiana schedule and earned a spot in postseason play.
