The Andrean Fighting 59ers achieved a decisive 52–32 victory over the Southmont Mounties during Friday night’s Class 2A playoff game in Merrillville. The offensive strength and consistent second-half performance of Andrean were key factors in advancing them to the next round of the Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) State Tournament.
The game took place on November 15, 2025, at Andrean High School in Merrillville, Indiana.
Andrean began with a strong start, leading 7–0 in the first quarter and extending their lead to 24–12 by halftime. They maintained their momentum throughout the third and fourth quarters, adding 28 points in the second half to secure their victory at home.
Looking ahead, the Andrean Fighting 59ers, with an impressive record of 11–1, will host another crucial playoff match against the undefeated Adams Central Flying Jets, who hold a record of 13–0. This game is scheduled for Friday, November 21.
