Andrean’s softball team delivered a dominant performance, defeating Cornerstone Christian 11-1 behind a fast start and steady execution throughout the game.
The nonconference matchup took place March 31 at Barfield Crescent Park, where Andrean quickly took control and dictated the pace from the opening inning.
Andrean broke the game open immediately, scoring eight runs in the first inning to build a commanding lead. The offense stayed aggressive at the plate and continued to apply pressure, preventing Cornerstone Christian from settling into a rhythm. The early surge created separation that carried through the remainder of the contest.
Senior Sadie Drousias led the effort on both sides, finishing 3-for-3 with three runs batted in while also pitching four innings and recording four strikeouts. Freshman Olivia Thornberry contributed with a 2-for-2 performance, adding two RBIs and a run scored. Senior Dani Poskin added two hits, two runs, and an RBI to support the offensive output.
In the circle, Drousias and freshman Hailey Poskin combined to limit Cornerstone Christian to one run on five hits. The defense supported the pitching staff with clean play and consistent execution.
