The Andrean Fighting 59ers volleyball team continued their remarkable season on Wednesday, securing a 3-0 sweep over the visiting Chesterton Trojans.
The match took place on Wednesday, April 29, at Andrean High School.
The Fighting 59ers showcased their power early, taking the first set 25-19 and then completely shutting down the Trojans’ offense in a lopsided 25-9 second frame, according to MaxPreps. Andrean finalized the victory with a 25-17 win in the third set, effectively using their size at the net and precise serving to keep Chesterton out of system throughout the night. This non-league triumph improves Andrean’s stellar record to 22-3, further solidifying their status as one of the region’s premier programs. The Trojans struggled to find a rhythm against the 59ers’ relentless pressure, falling to 16-8 on the year as the home team dominated every facet of the game.
Looking ahead, the schedule remains busy for Niner Nation. The Andrean Fighting 59ers are currently preparing for their upcoming road challenge against the Munster Mustangs.
