The Andrean Fighting 59ers emerged victorious against the Merrillville Pirates with a 45-41 win in a non-conference basketball game held on Thursday, November 6, 2025. The event took place at Merrillville High School.

According to reports, Andrean established an early lead, finishing the first quarter ahead at 15-12. They maintained their advantage throughout the game despite a strong third-quarter effort from the Pirates. The Fighting 59ers’ balanced scoring and steady defense were instrumental in securing their four-point victory over their local rivals.

Looking ahead, Andrean is set to host the Hammond Morton Governors in another non-conference matchup. Both teams currently hold a record of 1-0. In their previous encounter, the Merrillville Pirates defeated Andrean with a decisive score of 54-30.
