The Andrean High School Fighting 59ers girls soccer team enters the 2025 season determined to rise above a challenging 2024 campaign. Last year, the team finished 6-9-2 overall and placed 6th in the Northwest Crossroads Conference with a 1-5 league mark.
The Fighting 59ers open their season on the road Aug. 20 at Highland, followed by a trip to Merrillville on Aug. 25. Early home matches against Hanover Central on Aug. 27 and Wheeler on Sept. 2 offer chances to regain momentum.
Throughout the season, Andrean will face formidable conference foes including Munster, Hobart, Lowell and Kankakee Valley, along with nonconference challenges at DeMotte Christian, Morgan Township and Hammond Bishop Noll.
Last year’s offensive output totaled 33 goals, while the defense conceded 47. To rebound, the team is leaning on returning upperclassmen and emerging underclass talent, emphasizing ball control, set-piece execution and on-field communication.
Guided by a vision of discipline and determination, Coach and players aim for a conference title and a strong seed in sectional and regional tournaments. As the season unfolds, the 59ers will play not just for results, but to restore pride and purpose to Andrean girls soccer.
