The Andrean Fighting 59ers volleyball team concluded the 2025 season with a balanced record of 16-16 and a commendable 10-2 performance in the Northwest Crossroads Conference, securing a second-place finish.
Andrean began the year with a victory over Marquette Catholic and faced one of the most challenging schedules in the region. The team competed against several tournament-caliber programs, including Lake Central, Barr-Reeve, and Lafayette Central Catholic. After an initial slow start against high-level competition, the 59ers found their rhythm in September by winning key conference matchups against Munster, Hobart, and Lowell.
The middle part of the season highlighted the team’s growth and resilience. Andrean consistently performed well in close five-set matches. Their depth and composure led to several significant victories late in the year over Highland, Wheeler, and Hebron.
In postseason play at Boone Grove’s Class 2A Sectional, Andrean opened with a sweep of Hebron but was defeated by the host Wolves 3-1 in the sectional semifinal.
Andrean’s 2025 campaign was characterized by balance, strong senior leadership, and a competitive edge that kept them engaged in nearly every match. The experience gained this season is expected to set the stage for another strong performance next fall.
