Andrean High School participated in the Columbia City Thanksgiving Classic, showcasing a commendable performance at one of Indiana’s largest girls’ wrestling events.
The competition was held on Saturday, November 30, in Columbia City and included over 50 programs from across the state in a full-day invitational setting.
According to the event details, Andrean’s team navigated through challenging brackets, gaining essential early-season experience against a diverse range of competitors. Krystina Gil led the team with an eighth-place finish in her weight class, securing a podium position amidst a competitive field. This achievement has bolstered Andrean’s confidence as they prepare for a busy December schedule.
The focus now shifts for Andrean towards dual and super dual competitions. With quick turnarounds and multiple matches anticipated in the upcoming weeks, the team is concentrating on refining techniques, making in-match adjustments, and enhancing conditioning as they progress into the winter season.
Andrean’s next event is scheduled at Lowell for the Lowell Girls Super Duals on Saturday, December 6, at 9:00 a.m. CST at Lowell Senior High School.
