Andrean opens Cundiff era built on culture and consistency

The Andrean boys basketball team is set to begin its 2025–26 season at home against South Bend Adams, marking the start of a new chapter under first-year head coach Jack Cundiff. The game is scheduled for Monday, November 25, 2025, at 7 p.m. Central Time at Andrean High School.

Cundiff, who was appointed in late April, said that his initial months have been focused on establishing standards and fostering a culture based on hard work and daily discipline. “There’s a lot to do in year one,” he said. “These guys have made my job a lot easier because they show up and lead every day.” According to Cundiff, seniors Tiaan Coetzee and Greg Taylor have become key figures in setting the tone for the new program by guiding younger players through offseason workouts and weight-room sessions.

Coetzee, who returns as a starter, described last year as “a breakout season” and expressed his readiness to assume a larger role. Taylor highlighted the team’s off-court chemistry, saying, “We bond really well. We’re all great friends outside of basketball.”

Following their opening game, Andrean will travel to Lake Central for their next match on December 4 at 7 p.m. Central Time.
