Andrean boys wrestling had several strong individual performances at the Northwest Crossroads Conference meet.
The event was held Jan. 17, as the 59ers competed across the varsity weight classes and collected key placement points in the conference tournament.
Heavyweight Deshawn Jackson delivered one of the top results for Andrean with a third-place finish at 285 pounds, scoring 18 team points. Camden Rosmanitz matched that total with a third-place showing at 190, also earning 18 points and providing a major boost in the upper weights. Quaid Murphy added to the scoring effort with a fourth-place finish at 120 pounds, contributing 10 points, while Gavin Hollingshead placed sixth at 126 to score three. Andy Yurechko followed with a sixth-place finish at 215, adding three more points in another competitive bracket.
Andrean also picked up seven points at 106 pounds due to a forfeit, which resulted in a fifth-place finish in that weight class. Although the 59ers were limited in several middle weights because of open spots in the lineup, the wrestlers who did compete were able to maximize their opportunities and secure valuable placement points against conference competition.
Up Next Andrean will advance to postseason action at the IHSAA Regional on Feb. 7, with competition beginning at 8 a.m. at Hobart High School.
