The Andrean Fighting 59ers are preparing to begin their postseason journey on Tuesday night against the Wheeler Bearcats in the Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) Class 2A Sectional 33 Tournament. The match will take place at Boone Grove High School.
According to the schedule, the first serve is set for 7 p.m. on October 14. Andrean approaches this matchup with a record of 14–15, including a strong performance in conference play with a 10–2 mark. The team is guided by senior leadership and features one of the region’s most balanced lineups. Throughout the season, they have faced some of Northwest Indiana’s toughest competition.
Offensively, Miah Galambos leads Andrean with 172 kills. Kaylee Bradley plays a key role at the net with 35 total blocks. Aleece Ehler has contributed significantly from the service line with 52 aces, while Dani Poskin has been a defensive standout, recording 630 digs and 462 receptions. Setter Aubrey Ralick has efficiently managed the offense, accumulating 419 assists over the season.
Wheeler enters the match with an 18–12 record and a .600 winning percentage, setting up what promises to be a competitive sectional opener.
Andrean aims to leverage its experience and consistency as it seeks to advance further into the Class 2A tournament and extend its campaign into 2025.
