The Andrean Fighting 59ers secured a victory over Southmont with a score of 52–32 in a home playoff game on Friday. The team showcased a balanced offensive strategy and consistent scoring throughout the match.
According to the game details, the event occurred on November 14 at Andrean High School in Merrillville, Indiana. The 59ers began with a 7–0 lead and maintained their dominance throughout the game.
Andrean recorded quarter-by-quarter scores of 7, 17, 15, and 13 points, gradually increasing their lead over the Mounties. Key players contributed significantly across various classes. Sophomore quarterback Dylan Gore, senior quarterback and defensive back Brady Elish, sophomore running back Javier McCoy, and a defensive line led by seniors Christian Gavin and Gavin Jones along with juniors Landen Murray and Ethan Reyna were instrumental in the team’s performance. Additional support from players such as Brody Lane, Tyler Vo, and Brady Stovall ensured Andrean’s continuous pressure and offensive flow as the game unfolded.
Looking ahead, Andrean is set to compete against Adams Central on November 21 at 7 p.m. in the Semi-State Championships.
