Andrean is set to participate in the Highland Girls Wrestling Tournament, scheduled for Saturday, November 15. The event will feature a diverse group of schools from northwest Indiana and beyond.
According to the tournament organizers, the all-day event will commence at 9 a.m. at Highland High School. It will include multiple weight-class matchups and team brackets throughout the morning and afternoon.
The Andrean 59ers aim to build momentum in this early-season meet by testing their lineup against some of the region’s strongest programs. Competing schools include Wheeler, Hammond Central, Hanover Central, Lake Central, Harrison (West Lafayette), Michigan City, Lafayette Jefferson, Boone Grove, Highland, Chesterton, Kankakee Valley, Munster, and Benton Central. The tournament provides valuable mat time and serves as a benchmark for Andrean’s young roster as they prepare for the main part of their winter schedule.
Following this tournament, Andrean will travel to Illiana Christian High School for another girls wrestling meet on Wednesday, November 26, at 5:30 p.m. CST.
