Andrean High School’s varsity softball team compiled a strong 21-8 record during the 2025 season, finishing 7-4 in Northwest Crossroads Conference play to place third in the league standings.
The season took place throughout the spring of 2025 in Merrillville, Indiana, where the Fighting 59ers went 11-3 at home, 4-4 on the road, and 6-1 at neutral sites.
Andrean showcased an explosive offense, scoring 250 runs while allowing 120. Early in the season, the 59ers earned decisive victories over Saint Viator (16-2), Morton (17-1), and Sycamore (17-1). In conference action, they picked up key wins against Lowell, Hanover Central, Hobart, Kankakee Valley, and Highland. The team also captured several postseason victories, including wins over Boone Grove, Whiting, Hebron, Knox, Alexandria-Monroe, and Rossville to advance deep into tournament play.
Several contests were tightly contested, including an extra-inning loss to Munster and a nine-inning postseason victory over Alexandria-Monroe. Andrean’s season concluded with a 2-0 loss to Tecumseh in tournament action.
The Fighting 59ers finished the year ranked No. 15 in Indiana, marking another successful campaign for the program.
