Andrean High School, located in Merrillville, Indiana, secured a decisive victory over Highland High School in a home conference volleyball match.
The contest took place on October 7, 2025.
The Fighting 59ers dominated from start to finish, securing wins with scores of 25-19, 25-16, and 25-12. Andrean’s offensive efforts were spearheaded by sophomore Maya Mastalski, who achieved nine kills with a .500 hitting percentage. Senior Lizzie Cusick contributed five kills at .444. Freshman Aleece Ehler and senior Kaylee Bradley combined for an additional eight kills, contributing to a balanced team attack that totaled 34 kills at a .229 hitting percentage.
Setter Emmy Ramirez effectively distributed the ball with 15 assists, while sophomore Aubrey Ralick added 13 assists and seven digs. Senior libero Dani Poskin led the defense with a match-high of 30 digs as Andrean recorded a total of 68 digs throughout the match. From the service line, the team delivered 13 aces on 74 attempts, with Ralick and Ramirez each contributing three aces.
Highland made efforts but struggled to find rhythm against Andrean’s consistent serve and blocking presence. This loss marks Highland’s first in conference play this season.
