Andrean swept Kouts 3–0 in a neutral‑site regional semifinal of the 2025–26 IHSAA Boys Volleyball State Tournament.
The clash unfolded on Saturday, May 23, with the postseason battle staged at Valparaiso High School, where the Fighting 59ers quickly seized control.
Andrean opened the match with a commanding first set, overpowering Kouts 25–15 behind steady serving and a disciplined defensive block that forced the Kougars into rushed swings. The 59ers’ ability to stay in the system early allowed their attackers to dictate tempo and establish momentum.
The second set brought more resistance from Kouts, but Andrean maintained its edge through cleaner transitions and more efficient hitting. The 59ers kept the Kougars at arm’s length throughout the frame, closing it out 25–21 to take a firm 2–0 lead.
Andrean finished the sweep with a composed third set, using balanced offense and consistent ball control to secure a 25–19 win. The 59ers’ depth and poise showed throughout the match, reflecting a team fully locked in for a postseason run.
With the victory, the Fighting 59ers extended their winning streak to 11 straight and improved to 30–3, strengthening their push toward a state championship berth.
