Andrean High School enters the 2025–26 wrestling season aiming to establish an early rhythm and foster competitive growth across its varsity lineup as the winter schedule begins.
The program’s original home opener against Highland High School, scheduled for Wednesday, November 5 at 4:30 PM CST at Andrean High School, has been canceled. According to the schedule, the first active competition will take place on Monday, December 1 at 6:00 PM CST at Crown Point High School in Crown Point, Indiana, for a freshman-level event.
The 59ers are focusing on developmental emphasis across light, middle, and upper weights as new wrestlers assume varsity roles. Freshman and underclass athlete participation early in the year is expected to provide crucial evaluation and lineup refinement. The December schedule offers a controlled start before dual- and tournament-heavy stretches arrive later in the season. This approach allows the roster to build match experience and conditioning while strengthening its presence within a demanding Northwest Indiana wrestling field known for postseason success.
Andrean will continue its December action with additional duals and multi-team events ahead of conference meets and the holiday tournament window.
According to records from the previous season, Andrean’s last competitive meetings with Highland and Crown Point occurred during the 2024–25 campaign and provided vital benchmarks for program growth.
