Andrean turned in a clean and dominant performance Friday, sweeping Washington Township 25-15, 25-10, 25-15 in a nonconference boys volleyball matchup.
The match took place April 10 at Andrean High School, where the Fighting 59ers controlled the action from the opening set and never allowed Washington Township to build momentum.
Andrean finished with 43 kills and a strong .425 hitting percentage, consistently winning points with efficient offense and balanced production. Ethan Duong led the way with 14 kills on a blistering .700 hitting percentage while also adding three aces and two blocks. Ryder Marsh added eight kills, six digs and one ace, while Patrick Rensch and Sam Coduti each contributed five kills. Carter Knueppel chipped in four kills, and Max Janquart added two.
Trevor Prisby kept the offense moving throughout the match, piling up 33 assists with steady ball distribution that helped Andrean stay in rhythm. At the service line, the 59ers collected 10 aces, with Duong leading that category as well. Tyler Tate, Mitch Cadwalder, Khoa Dao, Knueppel, Janquart and Marsh all added aces in the sweep.
Defensively, Andrean backed up its offensive efficiency with 41 digs and eight total blocks. Khoa Dao, Prisby and Marsh helped anchor the back row, while Rensch led the net presence with three total blocks as Andrean completed the straight-set win.
