The Andrean High School girls tennis team is preparing for a pivotal 2025 season, looking to recover from a short 2024 campaign that ended with a tough 1–4 loss at home to Hobart in the IHSAA sectional round.
Last season, the Fighting 59ers posted early wins but were unable to advance past the sectional stage, highlighting the need for stronger postseason consistency. Returning players—including singles and doubles performers—are focused on sharpening technical skills like serve accuracy and volley precision to strengthen competitive performance.
With rosters still being finalized, coach will rely on experienced upperclassmen to lead by example, while mentoring emerging underclassmen through rigorous strategy sessions and match play. Practices have emphasized footwork, shot placement, and mental resilience to prepare for the demands of long, high-pressure matches.
The 2025 schedule includes Northwest Crossroads Conference opponents such as Munster, Hobart and Hanover Central, alongside several non-conference invitees. The season will culminate in team tournaments and individual flights leading into sectional and regional championships.
As the Fighting 59ers look ahead, their goal remains clear: rebound from 2024’s disappointment, build postseason depth, and represent their school with determination and refined skill on every court.
