Andrean sophomore forward Delaney Myers has swiftly transitioned from a promising freshman to a key player just six games into the 2025 basketball season.
According to reports, Andrean Girls Basketball began its season with a challenging schedule, maintaining the program’s tradition of early tests against formidable opponents. The first six games took place through November and early December in various Region gyms, subjecting the young roster to immediate pressure against larger and more experienced teams.
Myers has embraced her leadership role on both ends of the court. Last season, she started every game as a freshman due to her defensive versatility. This year, she is adding playmaking and scoring aggression—attacking downhill, creating paint touches, and forcing opponents to react to her movement. Her effort in practice and games has set the tempo for a team learning how to replace a graduating scoring core while maintaining Andrean’s championship expectations. Coaches rely on Myers’ communication skills and relentlessness to elevate the younger players around her.
Andrean is scheduled to host Lake Central on December 10 at 7 p.m.
